I became involved in farm drainage design while working for the Ministry of Agriculture Advisory Services Division at in the mid 1970s and left to form my own consulting business in 1981.  The consultancy provided advice and design work for farm drainage, and farm water reticulation design.

During the 1980-1998 period, I designed many kilometres of subsurface drainage, much of it installed and still providing benefits to the land owners who farm the land.

I live in Blenheim, but travel to Matamata regularly as a base for  Waikato, King Country & Bay of Plenty farmers who I assist with farm drainage solutions.
